Any Ducati
Victory Vegas
Ural with sidecar.
I'd say Triumphs and Harleys. But no one really appreciates the Triumphs as much as they use to. :(
Any motorcycle that u really like,From a major manufacturer. It should be a bike that u want to keep in it is original condition, since any changes will make it worth less,as a 'classic''Just to be different from the Harley answerer.s I would bet on the Star V-max.the old model had very few changes since the early 80's. They have finally made a major change, but I think it is a keeper. I like the Triumph rocket 3 too,it is a cool bike, but not enough of them on the road to bring down the value later.A harley is kind of common now,and every one of us thinks ours is the best ever, but in 15 years? It seems like the bikes Harley could not sell new r the ones most coveted today.IE. the '71 night train, the cafe sportster ,FLT, servicar,Sprint.Get a nice touring bike & make some memories with him now. when ur ready to hand it down, the sentimental value will be priceless!!
thats what in doing too my 2006 honda cr 250 it got less than ten hours on it
The person who owned it will mean more to your Grandson than the name on the gas tank.
If I had a crystal ball I would ask it for next week is winning lottery numbers.
Get whatever bike you like and when the time comes pass it on to your grandson. Eventually all old bikes become classics and if you're lucky they're also worth some money. Otherwise, hey, your grandson will still have his grandpa is old bike and that might be worth something to him.
Cruiser: HD Softtail Springer
Sport: Suzuki Hybusi
Touring: Honda Goldwing
SideCar/ Hack: Ural Patrol
Extreem: Boss Hoss 440
Trike: VW
Chopper: American Ironhorse
If you want to hand it down, then your number 1 choice will be most Harley's, or bigger Jap Turing bikes.
There is only 1. And the answer is, H/D of course.
After looking into my crystal ball, I see any motor bike that is 40 or so years old will be considered a classic. You wo not even own it long enough to give it to your 'grandson'. Or, even worse, wo not even survive to give it to anyone.
