l have a ninja 250.If you turn the key all the way to the left, and l think this goes for most bikes as well, it locks the steering.If my key wo not turn left, can l still lock the steering in any way?How do l do this, or how does the lock function work?

When you turn the switch to ''lock a stud moves out of the switch and fits into the hole.
Just like a ''dead bolt'' on a door.
